Zagreb Rocket Attacks Memorial Centre offers a unique experience of Zagreb during the 1991 and 1995 rocket attacks. Opened in memory of civilians which were killed and injured.

Zagreb Rocket Attacks Memorial Centre was opened in May 2013. In memory of civilians which were killed and wounded during the 1991 and 1995 Croatian War of Independence attacks. In the hope that it never happens again.
The centre showcases the 1991 bombing of Banski dvori and 1995 Zagreb rocket attacks.
The 1991 bombing of Banski dvori was an assassination attempt at Croatian President Franjo Tuđman and current political leadership.
The second, 1995 rocket attacks were a retaliation attack. The only time cluster bombs were used during the war. It was a series of two rocket attacks targeted specifically against civilians.
The attack took place in the aftermath of Croatia’s successful military operation Flash. In order to prevent Croatia military advance.
The Memorial Centre permanent exhibition showcases documentary films, newspaper articles and artefacts saved after the attacks.
You will get to see rocket pieces that landed on the Children’s Hospital, the Croatian National Theatre and other civilian institutions in Zagreb.

You will get to experience Zagreb during the rocket attack with audio and video clips. Read articles from local and foreign newspapers and also observe preserved artefacts saved from the ruins.
How to get to the Zagreb Rocket Attacks Memorial Centre?
Accessible on foot, just south of the ban Jelačić Square. It is on the corner of Bogoićeva and Petrićeva. Close by you will find the Zagreb solar system central sculpture the Grounded Sun and the Buldog Pub.
