The promenade, located right underneath Lotrščak Tower, runs along the remains of Zagreb’s medieval defensive walls. Walking along you will stumble upon A. G. Matoš, the poet who sits on a bench overlooking Zagreb.
Strossmayer promenade is beautifully green, filled with chestnut trees, a great place to take a walk and make a short break of exploring the city.
During summer definitely worth checking out is Strossmartre or Summer on Stross, the promenade is filled with artists, food stalls, artist selling paintings, souvenir sellers and a lot more.
You won’t be able to resist a glass of excellent wine while enjoying a carefully created musical programme, art installations, painters and their canvases.
The Strossmartre is here for the entire 100 days from May 26th to September 4th.
